Suits most Westinghouse and Frigidaire two door cyclic defrost fridge/freezers and single door cyclic defrost refrigerators without a freezer compartment where the thermostat is mounted with the light on the side wall of the fridge compartment. Also suits some Kelvinator, Hoover and Fisher & Paykel fridges.
This thermostat is a direct replacement for most models. The knob shaft is a D-shape. Some very old models have a round shaft and a locating lug, The kit includes replacement knobs and mounting brackets as well as the thermostat.
Although there are three terminals shown on the thermostat, the two in line with each other are connected together so there are only actually two connections. There are also two teminals on the metal body of the thermostat for earth wires.
Care must be taken not to bend the capillary tube sharply, as this will damage the thermostat.
