This unit does NOT convert voltage. The mains voltage in these countries is 110Volt AC so you MUST use a stepup transformer unless the appliance can operate off the lower voltage. Many shavers and laptop AC adaptors are multivoltage. Also, this adaptor is NOT earthed, so must be used with double insulated 2pin appliances only.
Sometimes there may be more than one type of socket in the same country. There is no guarantee that this will be suitable in every case.
